OPES focuses on both long-term and short-term plans and development within the context of airport growth. The OPES includes two divisions with distinct environmental missions: the Division of Environmental Compliance and the Division of Environmental Planning.
The Division of Environmental Compliance reviews and interprets state and federal regulations and develops and implements programs to meet these requirements.
The Division of Environmental Planning works on a number of key issues of interest to the general public and of importance in protecting the Chesapeake Bay.
